stay tuned regarding the disqualified Miss Delaware[edit]

The age problem is because, although she will still be 24 during the time of the Miss America pageant, she will turn 25 on Oct. 22, after that pageant but before the end of the year. She is denying trying to deceive anyone regarding age, because the birthdate information for her was always available. An attorney has been contacted, and Delaware pageant officials are taking questions only about the replacement Miss Delaware. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 13:49, 27 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

A link to the actual contract for the 2014 competition would be helpful. The Miss America website just states the contestants must be "17 to 24" without specifying exactly when those limits are applied. Does it clearly state that the winner may not turn 25 before Jan 1 2015? A previous Miss America, Heather French Henry, turned 25 before Dec 31 1999, the year she was crowned, so presumably this is a development since then. Edison (talk) 17:03, 29 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

There is news in delawareonline today that she has sued. Sorry I am not connected with Miss Delaware, Miss America, etc. Could someone supply a citation in a "citation needed" instance in this article (here on wikipedia)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.20 (talk) 14:55, 17 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
