Merge from Israeli style hummus[edit]

Solomonov created and promotes a style of hummus which he calls "Israeli style hummus". He has received multiple mentions in the Philadelphia, New York, and national food media for this dish. We normally don't have articles on WP about individual chefs' versions of dishes, but in this case, it seems worth mentioning on Solomonov's page. --Macrakis (talk) 19:32, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Israeli style hummus is not notable on its own as a dish, since it is just one chef's variant, but it seems worth mentioning on Solomonov's article, since he and his restaurants have received multiple mentions for it. --Macrakis (talk) 19:32, 19 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Don't redirect - "Israeli style hummus" should not redirect here. His hummus recipe is not actually named "Israeli-style hummus" in his book or restaurant, nor the New York Times article, but "hummus tehina" (which currently redirects to hummus). It was only described that way by Bon Appétit when it reprinted the recipe. I've added the NYT and BA sources from that article to this one, and a statment about his recipe being named "dish of the year" by Bon Appétit. We don't need all the "creamy, dreamy" hyperbole. Personal life[edit]

I removed the following from the "Career" section, because although it's sourced, it seems to be undue weight compared to the rest of the article. If the information about his personal life is significantly expanded in the future, it could be re-added:
