Comment[edit]

The article is about a highly respected Canadian film maker and author. He has worked with Gregory Peck, won the Prix Anik, caused changes in Canadian law with his pioneering documentaries on environmental issues and has published three books with respected commercial publishers, one of which, Romancing Mary Jane is a cult classic in western Canada. The facts in the article were taken with permission from the biography published in Poole's latest book, Rain Before Morning, from the website of his publisher, Harbour Publishing Co. Ltd. and from an entry in the www.abcbookworld.com, a reference website hosted by Simon Fraser University. I tried to add these references to the end of the article, but I apparently used the wrong method. Wikipedia's instructions on this point are anything but clear. I am myself a well-known Canadian author, editor and historian who holds the Order of British Columbia, the Order of Canada and an honorary doctorate from the University of Victoria.
