false[edit]

Wasikowska was recognized by Forbes as one of the highest-grossing actors of 2010 with $1.03 billion, tied for second position with Johnny Depp and behind leader Leonardo DiCaprio, who grossed $1.1 billion for the year this is not right as helena bon carter was also in alice AND HARRY POTTER and the kings speach that altogether made far more than mia did forbes is nothing more than a opion or very bad guess. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.24.51.238 (talk) 00:08, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure how you can really argue that when the source cited is Forbes itself. 75.224.58.88 (talk) 03:33, 5 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm also not sure how an argument can be made when "speach" and "opion" are used instead of "speech" and "opinion." Yes, I'm a militant grammarian. Proof your thoughts before you post. 172.56.6.23 (talk) 19:25, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Note that the Forbes website (I don't know about print) has cut back on journalism over the past years in favor of opinion pieces and blogs. When using the website as a source, please make sure that you differentiate between the types of items. Thank you for your time, Wordreader (talk) 17:05, 29 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Birthday?[edit]

The source given just says her birthday is in October (1989) but but doesn't say it's the 14th. Not that it isn't (it very well could be 14th October), but shouldn't there be proof before a day is posted? Stephe1987 (talk) 21:47, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You're right, it needs to be deleted unless someone can provide a reliable source, like a news article or interview. I have not been able to find any confirmation in any news articles that I've come across. There are websites using that date but they don't seem reliable, they appear to have copied Wikipedia without any independent fact checking. Agiseb (talk) 05:37, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article says it's 1989/10/14, and the citation is a talk show clip specifically saying it isn't that, but happens "in another week or two". Atario (talk) 10:52, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hip hop or ballet?[edit]

I thought she did ballet rather than hip hop? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.215.22.192 (talk) 17:14, 6 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ballerina?[edit]

Wasikowska trained as a ballerina from the age of nine to *fifteen*, including two years training 35 hours a week.[10][11][12] However, at age *14* she decided to quit ballet as the increasing pressure to achieve physical perfection was affecting her self-esteem.

(Emphasis added)

Perhaps that's just worded oddly but I don't see how she could quit at 14 and yet do that from 9-15. 75.76.65.246 (talk) 00:13, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Decided (formed intention) at 14; did it a year later. Makes sense. Don’t know whether that’s true tho. Cieljaune (talk) 13:04, 24 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Father[edit]

CTV says her father is a painter and collagist but The Guardian, which seems a better source, suggests both parents are photographers.

There's also this recent article which also says both parents are photographers.

Since we don't know for sure which is correct, I've reverted to the general "artist" description.Agiseb (talk) 05:07, 31 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
