Is this real?[edit]

Since cremation ashes are mostly minerals like calcium phosphate diamonds are impossible to make from them. 71.114.163.55 00:02, 5 October 2007‎ (UTC)[reply]

Memorial diamonds are created from hair or cremation remains. During the process both hair and ashes are subject to heat treatment to extract carbon remaining in them. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nstarkell (talkcontribs) 14:23, 3 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

List of manufacturers[edit]

At some point we need to apply WP:NOTDIRECTORY to the list of manufacturers section. The present list can probably squeak by since the business model is still pretty new, but I think it is something to keep in mind as this article develops. - 2/0 (cont.) 22:58, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The list was removed at 06:41 (UTC), 15 November 2010 by someone saying "this article is effectively spam..." I disagree with the removal. We shouldn't have a long list, but if the list is relatively short (e.g., up to 20 entries), it seems useful to have (especially if the entries provide some additional information). At the time it was removed, the list contained seven entries. I removed a similar list from the LifeGem article and merged it with the list that was removed in 2010 and put it into this article (after some quick checking to clean up by removing defunct companies and reselling dealers). The resulting list has seven companies. —BarrelProof (talk) 16:15, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
