Hi, Fryael, thanks for brining this here. Mecca is an unincorporated community within Mecca Township; they have different boundaries and histories but do happen to share a name. As an unincorporated area, it only occupies part of the township. Per WP:GEOLAND, "Populated, legally recognized places are typically considered notable, even if their population is very low".– Gilliam (talk) 08:43, 11 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
