Pieces are not randomly distributed

In 2013, McDonalds announced that there were 2 Boardwalk (top prize) pieces, and that one is on the Big Mac.

This means several things -- not all the prizes are randomly distributed (for example, in theory McDonalds could have intentionally put *all* the best prizes on the Big Macs, making it impossible to win if you do not eat them), and your odds of winning the $1M prize are quite a bit higher if you get the Big Mac. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RScott13 (talkcontribs) 17:06, 25 July 2013 (UTC)

Features of rare pieces determining a win

I've heard (without reputable sources, of course) that the rare piece in a color group has a phone number to call. Does anyone have sourced information on what the rare pieces look like, or if they are identical feature-wise to the common pieces? 20.137.18.53 (talk) 15:57, 21 October 2011 (UTC)

The rare (and large item instant win) pieces having phone numbers on them is a relatively recent thing, although they do have them, as, according to the contest rules, this is the only way to contact McDonald's and get instructions on claiming your prize. When the contest first started, if you had a prize that couldn't be redeemed at a McDonald's, you had to ask a store manager for a game envelope; apparently, there were two colors - one for the highest level prizes, and another for the rest. The only problem with this is, if you are making whatever low wage a typical McDonald's employee gets and you overhear somebody asking for a "big prize" envelope, would you decide to follow this person home? -- That Don Guy (talk) 22:21, 16 May 2012 (UTC)
Problem with that reasoning is the same as why they're allowed to be the only person there or to run the till. Crooks come in all income levels. 75.70.236.107 (talk) 04:55, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Bugs in website? Some workarounds here would be handy.

It would be nice if there was a solution to not being able to register. Also, see #6-3 on the FAQ. "You don't need Internet... if you have a friend with access." Which is really a derpy answer. This means even if the site is broken, you can't call it in. If someone can post the direct link to the registration page, that would be appreciated by many, I imagine. 75.70.236.107 (talk) 04:59, 28 August 2013 (UTC)
