deletion of history of "Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent"[edit]

I've asked for direction to appropriate forum at WP:NPOV noticeboard. Your edit summary "(removed good faith conflation of the exective mayor and an unelected ceremonial/lord Mayor please include in a different article such as Stoke-on-Trent)" is an illustration of the problem. "Mayor of X" in Stoke can mean both. It isn't "conflation" it's the ever-winding tale of local government reforms from the Middle Ages to the 24th Century. en.wp doesn't exist to take snapshots of 2009.
