I added the advert tag for two reasons: 1. The article reads like a piece of rhetoric 2. Bias torwards the Simmons brand Galaxydog2000 06:58, 2 July 2006 (UTC)

I've removed almost all references to individual brands. I believe I have mitigated the advertising enough to remove the tag, which I have done. IrisWings 06:51, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

There is now more advertising in this article. see 3.1.1 CORE. I only read that one section so you may want to read the entire article. 21.05.2013 15:56

Is it just me or do all mattress-related articles on Wikipedia seem like they're made by mattress manufacturers? A lot of recent changes in mattresses were probably made because of price, not comfort, that the article acts like are "inventions" by Simmons. Examples: "Simmons Bedding Co. invents the "no-flip" mattress, a one-sided construction style that has since been adopted by most North American mattress manufacturers." The Core section, where it's clear which kind of coil the Beautyrest line of mattresses use, and that section is much longer with lots of fluff about how great they are. --Rayt5 (talk) 15:08, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Continuous copyediting and vigilance needed

This entry requires continual copyediting--especially for bias, as well as spelling consistency and punctuation. For instance, Is it "innerspring" or "inner-spring," "viscoelastic" or "visco-elastic." Every time I return to this entry, I find unproven marketing claims, especially prevalent is the claim that memory foam lasts longer that innersprings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Treehugger87 (talkcontribs) 12:03, 4 August 2014 (UTC)
