Fair use rationale for File:Le-reve-1932.jpg[edit]

File:Le-reve-1932.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a non-free use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Allegations of abuse[edit]

I have removed the following sentence from the Popular Culture section: "Furthermore, Australian stand up comic Hannah Gadsby outlined Walter's story and Picasso's abuse of Walter in her 2018 special Nanette." First of all, the sentence assumes Gadsby's mention of "abuse" is factual. Second, Gadsby only mentioned it in her stand-up routine, offering no sources - all she did was refer to the fact that Marie-Therese Walter was 17, and then falsely claimed that this made her underage - and this was the context in which the word "abuse" was used. The current age of consent in France is 15, but this is a recent one - it was certainly not higher in Walter's time. Picasso was himself from Spain, where the age of consent was 12 until 1999, and so he had even less reason to consider her underage. But even at the most conservative, 17 is well within the legal limits even in France, where they met. I do not think Gadsby's moral outrage and hyperbole in a stand-up routine should be used as any sort of source pointing to any alleged abuse.Tsuka (talk) 21:53, 18 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
