Separation of church and state[edit]

It seems to me that this statement may be her viewpoint, but does not conform to WP:NPOV.

She is an expert on and advocate for the U.S. Constitution's required separation of church and state.--DThomsen8 (talk) 02:23, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, whether the constitution requires the separation of church and state is sometimes supported, sometimes undercut by the Supreme Court. More importantly, it isn't an explicit requirement as in some continental systems. So the requirement has no place being asserted in Wikipedia's voice. I am changing the sentence to refer to the establishment clause. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.81.114.70 (talk) 02:30, 25 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

The section detailing Doug Laycock's opinion on God vs. the Gavel has no place in this article. Many other reviews have praised the book, and his opinion did not cause controversy or anything noteworthy. He also has a known bias against Hamilton after he lost to her at the Supreme Court. Laycock probably added that section himself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.170.89.183 (talk) 21:08, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What does this mean ...?[edit]

Maybe I'm dense but what does it mean to be "a widely regarded scholar" in anything? The only definitions of "regarded" which would make sense here are those which are obsolete/archaic. I get the feeling an attempt to make Marci Hamilton look good without actually doing so may be underway here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.124.69.100 (talk) 18:11, 24 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
