Mannadipattu vs. Mannadipet

Mannadipattu commune appears to be a neighboring commune to the south. The reference list of village panchayats does not show Mannadipattu. Rather it shows, within Villianur taluk, Mannadipet commune as containing the village of Mannadipet. I see also that this article was originally named "Mannadipet" but was at some time re-directed to "Mannadipattu." Please explain. Jeff in CA 18:01, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
