What is the source that Manish is derived from the Sanskrit work "Manishi"? In all the Sanskrit dictionaries that I consulted, NONE listed the word "manishi" or "manish" so the author's assertion (without an authoritative source) is VERY suspect.

The other meanings ascribed from the Hindi and Urdu translations may have more basis in fact since they can be substantiated in dictionaries. Satshanti (talk) 00:19, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The other meaning in hindi dictionaries is A GROUP OF SANTS, SADHUS i.e. SIDH PUROOSH like SCINTISTS. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.68.8.186 (talk) 09:51, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

manish is made with two words "man" and "ish".in hindi language "man" means "mind" and "ish" means "GOD" and in separation between "GOD" remains.
