NPOV, "one of three"[edit]

This article reads more like someone's assessment of the language—which is fine (If it's presented as such), but it should then be said that this assessment is found among X people and/or in Y source. Saying that it has "clear diction" and that it sounds more "formal and respectful to the listener" could instead be a statement that there are language attitudes and stances at play regarding this variety. It's a short article, and only having information presented in this way is confusing and inconsistent with WP:NPOV. Additionally, this article states that Mengaluru Kannada is one of three dialects. I ended up here from the Kannada dialects page, which very clearly discusses more than three dialects. Even reducing it to the broader categories listed, there are four provided. Perhaps the article could benefit from the source(s) listed on the dialects page in order to make this article substantive and less subjective. Determinerteeth (talk) 02:58, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
