Regarding the statement 'second largest city in Karnataka'[edit]

The statement 'Mangalore is the second largest city in Karnataka' is added to this article along with citation. Kindly note that second largest city need not always be in terms of area or population. Aviator423 (talk) 03:24, 8 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Major port cities are the most developed cities across the world in any country/state having a coastline. Unless the landlocked place is the capital city, then they cannot be more developed than a Major port city.

But unfortunately, I couldn't find any online newspaper/reliable sources for the "second largest city" claim. So, in order not to jeopardise this article's WP:GA status, those statements are removed. Feel free to discuss. 106.217.91.158 (talk) 10:14, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
