"Nelson" nickname.
An editor without a profile calling himself NickMortimer added a few comments about the Mandevilla which I was able to confirm and one, that gardeners called the plant "Nelson" in honor of Nelson Mandela, a claim that I was not able to find any references to whatsoever. I've grown the things for years and have never heard of any such thing happening. If anybody can find a proper reference to this naming please replace the naming claim properly referenced. Otherwise, it stays gone. More than enough things have got named after Mr. Mandela without having to make up more that weren't. Plaasjaapie (talk) 17:12, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
