Opening Date

At least in Hong Kong - which isn't the United States, but it exists and is a place - the opening date is 17 October, not 18, viz -218.255.71.188 (talk) 13:24, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

Existing source in the article says official release is 18th. Some places may start showing early by a day. Need to see what actually happens, until then stick with what Disney is saying. Geraldo Perez (talk) 16:57, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

End Credits Scene?

Explanation for changes to earnings data

Previously this page said that the film had earned $293 million worldwide. This was an error started by an apparent typo on the site Box Office Mojo, and now copied by other sources from there, making this kind of hard to catch. (They added a 2 in front of the correct international earnings, which at the time of writing are $28.1 million. That means the international earnings were incorrectly inflated by $200 million.)

Fortunately, BOM has now corrected their figures and hopefully other sites should eventually catch on. https://www.boxofficemojo.com/release/rl939755009/

Edit to lead - break even $500 million

Davefelmer has repeatedly made this edit to the lead, claiming that the film needs to make "$500 million in order to make a profit" attributed to this source: https://www.the-numbers.com/movie/Maleficent-Mistress-of-Evil-(2019)#tab=summary. All I see in that source is a bunch of box-office records. I do not see anything that corroborates that the break-even point for the film is $500 million. I would appreciate it if Davefelmer could be a little more helpful in pointing out where this information appears in the source. Betty Logan (talk) 18:06, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

My sincerest apologies, for reasons beyond my comprehension I was actually linking the wrong source! This is the one I was referring to https://variety.com/2019/film/news/maleficent-mistress-of-evil-box-office-misfire-1203376637/. And here I was sitting there this whole time thinking how could people miss the info right at the top of the page! I have no idea how I got it muddled up with the numbers source, the quarantine must be doing a number on my brain haha. Sorry again all, Betty Logan (talk) in particular.
