"When Alexander conquered the world and promoted short and neat hairstyles, it made men feel less aware of the fashion trends of absolute monarchs such as Louis XIV, and more conscious of the fashions of their peers."

This is such an absurd statement that one cannot consider the ref remotely reliable. I am therefore removing the ref, and the text sourced from it.

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose to merge Body grooming into Male grooming. Body grooming, if anything, should be an article about the general subject of bodily grooming, both male and female.
