Name

The note "(born “Malcolm”; but later in life he changed his given name to its historic traditional Scottish spelling)" could use a citation or further explanation, as it appears to be the wrong way around: "Malcolm" is the traditional Scottish spelling (the second "l" coming from the original Gaelic), and "Malcom" an English variant (omitting the second "l" because it is silent in English pronunciation).
