Character name translation[edit]

Hello. I'm user from Russian Wikipedia. In Russia and in the countries of the former USSR, the character is called Major Thunder, since the Russian word Гром (read as Grom) in English is Thunder, not Grom. Q: Major Grom is a localized character name or the difficulty of translation? Just wondering why it is so named in English. Bogolub (Talk (In Russian language)/Talk) 17:08, 27 september 2017 (UTC)

Title parameter[edit]

Hi @User: Raydann, why do you say the title parameter in the infobox is redundant? Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 07:31, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there Revirvlkodlaku, thank you for bringing this up. The title name in the infobox was same as the page name, which made it redundant. If you look at CAT:RITP, this category page lists all the articles whose title parameter is rendered redundant because it is same as the page name. I am actively trying to reduce the backlog of this category page. When I started it was around 1400 articles, now it has only 305. The removal of title parameter from the infobox makes no difference to the article. I hope you understand. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 07:40, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Raydann, I absolutely do, thank you for explaining! Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 09:29, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
