Phonetic Similarity to a Name of the Mother of the First Tirthankara in Jainism[edit]

Is there any etymological evidence to connect Mahadeva with the reported mother of the first tirthankara? The direct link is not easy to find, but Mahdevi seems to be a rendering. This has some etymological similarity to the English word "devil", but let's not jump to conclusions. In any case, would this pre-existing linguistic similitude warrant research? The first entry had the mistaken spelling according to the intended designation for this entity. It was intended to reference Marudevī. The first spelling was in error by intended reference, but does not preclude the possibility in etymology research that it is a connection. ^[1]Jakewayd (talk) 23:15, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
