/Canon name spelling debate

Untitled[edit]

The main debate here was over Raising Heart, Nanoha's intelligent device. Raging Heart, a fansub error, was rejected and notices of this were put all over the Nanoha project. There was also a minor debate involving the spelling of Laevatein, which was chosen over Lævateinn and Levantine; also, a note about the S2U's namesake. Storage Devices' AI[edit]

The way the S2U section is currently written seems to imply that all Storage Devices do not have an AI. Where is this information from? S2U does speak in episode 12 of the first season, albeit nothing major besides the attack's name, it still does speak. Of course, that doesn't mean it has an embedded AI like Raising Heart or Bardiche, but I'd still like to know where does it say that Storage Devices do not have an AI. --Remy Suen 19:32, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The webpage, which you can read if you can read a little Japanese. This is backed by the anime. S2U does talk, but the tonal is flat and consistent no matter what attack is used - like a tape recording. Compare that to say Graf Eisen, which we don't see make real conversation either, but the tone changes (try comparing the way Panzerhindernis is said in Episode 2 and Episode 5). Thanks, that explains it. --Remy Suen 17:24, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Belka Nights[edit]

According to the DVD6 extras (see [1]) its "Belka", not "Velka" as the fansubs used iirc. Also, Reinforce is a "Unison Device". Shiroi Hane 11:51, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are welcome to edit these changes as you have found a reliable source, by all means, please go ahead. --Remy Suen 12:19, 17 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Characters[edit]

Is it just me or does anyone else find it a little ridiculous that a lot of information was just recently copied and pasted word for word (save for slight additional sentences that is relevant to A's) directly from the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha page. I'm sure he means well, but I think some rephrasing needs to be in order. --Remy Suen 12:25, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm female, for one thing. e-e; But that's true, I was probably lazy that day. Maybe you're right. --Sana Jisushi 07:27, 17 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler characters[edit]

Should we put the Book of Darkness and the masked man on the characters list, even though they are already covered under alternate identities? I say this because knowing what- or who- each of the above becomes constitutes a major spoiler, but leaving them out would confuse new viewers. --Sana Jisushi 05:05, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know if we can introduce them without spoilers, as we're to maintain an out-of-universe perspective—we know that they are renamed/revealed later. Magus Melchior 15:30, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Drama CD?[edit]

There's a Drama CD that revolves around the civilian life of both Nanoha's and Hayate's party. I think that this doesn't retract anything from the canon, but should we include it or not? Dr. Rondart

It is canon (Sound Stage 3, I think it was), and it's more like how Nanoha's family and friends adjust to Nanoha's position in the TSAB and her magical abilities/friends. I'd say a brief mention of it in the plot/story part of the article would do. Magus Melchior 13:14, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I happened to download Sound Stage 01, which takes place between episodes 3 and 4, maybe more info will be required on the overall.Dr. Rondart

Split episodes[edit]

I propose that the episodes from this article and from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha be split into a new article called List of Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha episodes. Of course, this would also apply to StrickerS.-- 08:20, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Music titles[edit]

Do not rewrite the songs "Eternal Blaze" or "Brave Phoenix" as "ETERNAL BLAZE" and "BRAVE PHOENIX" per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (capital letters)#All caps which states on bullet two: "Reduce track titles on albums where all or most tracks are in all capitals to title case." Any further action to put these tracks in all caps will be considered vandalism on this point.-- 02:55, 25 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
