Configuration[edit]

The configuration of a MR-90 is motor/cab car + trailer + motor/cab car. The three are semipermanently coupled with two drawbars. The tightlock couplings are only at the ends of this combination (set). The train consists of three sets. I have used the service often enough to have observed this. The source may just be wrong. I live close enough to have used the service often and looking at the rakes I have come to the conclusion that they are married triplets. I always counted 9 cars not ten, but I'll check again when I have a chance and take a photo. But regardless th motor car and the trailer are attached by a drawbar (haulage) and not by a version of the janney coupler. The source is a spec sheet from the manufacturer; there's no doubt it is correct. Whereas you counting is not a reliable source, and is in fact original research. Especially when I've been in Montreal and examined photos, I see 8 or 10 car trains. Sorry, but the incorrect one is you. PS, I live in New Jersey, and actually have often found AMT interesting because of how much commonality of equipment there is with NJ Transit. Mea culpa, you and the Bombardier specs are right. earlier today I took the time st see two trains stop at the Bois Franc (AMT) station and indeed I counted five pantographs per train that implies a control car with motors and a trailer. @Oknazevad: Peter Horn User talk 20:08, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
