There seem to be two distinct pages with the identical title "Lyusternik-Schnirelmann category" (in addition to other similar pages, such as "Lusternik-Schnirelmann category", etc). Why is this necessary? Katzmik 07:39, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

About the lower bound for the number of critical points[edit]

In the article is written that "It was, as originally defined for the case of X a manifold, the lower bound for the number of critical points that a real-valued function on X could possess". Shouldn't X be compact? Saung Tadashi (talk) 22:56, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
