1st French period

Does anyone know what the citations are for the entire section. I'm not disputing if anything in it is true or false, but I am disappointed that an entire section has ZERO citations especially on an important topic. Do any of the editors know which sources this information was taken from this needs to be fixed immediately.Mcelite (talk) 02:28, 17 January 2019 (UTC)

Opening

Those opening three paragraphs are a mess from clarity's prespective. What it looks like happened is that various editors of various different opinions kept adding on, and so much of it contradicts itself. It needs to be pared WAY down for clarity; I'd argue more than half of it belongs in the "History" section. If discussions need to happen here on the Talk page, then let that happen. But as it stands, now, anyone reading that first paragraph would have no idea what consistutes "creole" and it associated culture. --Criticalthinker (talk) 08:44, 15 April 2019 (UTC)
