List of works[edit]

This list largely duplicated existing content: hence I have moved it to this page for cleanup. It should not be restored without fixing the issues.--SarekOfVulcan (talk) 04:17, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am not keen to have valid content removed, pending an editor identifying "issues" not explained. I restored a revised list to the article. Buildings mentioned in the text narration are indeed also mentioned in the revised list. I think that is fine. There was previously two mentions of Joplin Union Depot; is that the "issue" referred to? Please explain that and any other "issues". --doncram 04:33, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Having two or three references to everything in the list is indeed the issue I was referring to. Dumping information into an article without regard for what's already there is A Really Bad Idea. --SarekOfVulcan (talk) 04:39, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I see your writing but I still don't get what issue you refer to. The main text of the article can mention buildings that are included in a bigger list of notable works. "Having two or three references" is good. You want to remove references? I don't view your removal of the revised version of the list as improving the article. It hurts the article. For example, your removal of Louis Curtiss Studio Building hurts the article; it is worth mentioning that the architect's studio exists and is NRHP-listed. Are you opposed to that?
Also, do you have specific intention to build a table of works or somehow otherwise develop this? I would be willing to defer if you are actually asserting that you are using the information that I have identified. If you are not going to develop this, or clarify specific issues in an actionable way, it is reasonable to restore the further development of the works of this architect. --doncram 04:50, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
