Slump of April, 1939[edit]

The article states that through April, he had only one RBI. This is misleadingly shocking: for decades, the baseball season has started at the very start of April. Back in 1939, however, it began on April 20, so he had actually only played eight games, not the twenty-something games a reader might presume. I'm hesitant to "correct" the article by adding so much context, but perhaps someone could find a less misleading wording?
