Behavioral Ecology Peer Review[edit]

Nice job on the article! Overall, it was solid with detailed descriptions and good citing. I added an image of rabbitbrush to the article so readers can visualize what the diet/host plant of this fly is. I made minor grammatical changes so that plural nouns and verbs matched. I also changed some sentence structures to make them flow better. I also edited the latin nomenclature so that the species name "pulchissimus" is now lowercase. There was some ambiguity with what you were referring to with "it" and "they," in one or two sentences, so I added a few words for clarity. There are also now several more links, like for rabbitbrush, since many people may not know what that is. I also placed the "Home Range and Territoriality" section in front of the "Food Resources" section to fit the suggested article formatting. --Mmhua (talk) 16:36, 15 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I think your article has a lot of good information, and where sources may be lacking in specific information about this species, you have good comparisons with other flies to make up for it. I changed the capitalization of section headers–generally only the first word should be capitalized. Additionally, there was some speculation ("this suggests that..." "...this is likely because...") which is difficult to put in a Wikipedia article because it can be seen as subjective information. Overall I changed the tone a little to be more neutral, since the writing was a little prose-y in some sections. The information you have is great though!! Overall, I think this article is really well written already and has ample information on the fly. I think the previous edits that were done by the other peer reviewers were spot on and added to the flow of the article. I decided to add another image of rabbitbush near the mutualism section just for better visualization and also reworded the section about female fur color change in the "female appearance" section. Finally, I added a couple of sentences about male aggregation. Great article and great read! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nikhilaggarwal123 (talkcontribs) 23:08, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This article is beautifully crafted and organized in a very strategic and comprehensive manner! The research performed by the author is well detailed and encompasses a wide variety of research areas. To complement your work, I have added on supplemental research to the "Distribution" and "Aggregation of Males" paragraphs, and have cited reputable sources to the research. Well done!Rchiou (talk) 01:15, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You've done a nice job with this article. It's well organized and sections are broken up with subheadings and text to make it easier to follow. I edited some grammar and added wiki links to things I think would be helpful to a reader less familiar with biology. I think your female description is a little confusing however. The description of the coat changing colors could be more straightforward, but overall you've done a good job! Montana.sievert (talk) 01:52, 4 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
