Producer roles.[edit]

Continuing from the discussion Talk:Hayao Miyazaki#Part in Only Yesterday and Pom Poko from before this article was created: Miyazaki was labelled as the producer of Whisper of the Heart before my last edit. I decided to check it out remembering when Miyazaki was labelled as the producer of Only Yesterday and Pom Poko when Toshio Suzuki produced both those films. According to the credits of Whisper of the Heart (written in Japanese but with English subtitles by Aura in the Blu-ray release) Toshio Suzuki was the producer while Miyazaki is labelled as the General Producer, Yasuyoshi Tokuma as the Chief Executive Producer, and Seiichiro Ujie & Takashi Shoji as Executive Producers. Confusingly the subtitles also said "Produced by Tokuma Shoten" unless that is a company rather than a person. I created the Executive Producer column in the table to avoid confusion especially with other Wikipedia articles on the subject. I am not sure whether to add a General Producer column unless Miyazaki served as General Producer for more than one film. Tk420 (talk) 13:30, 26 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
