Too many non-metal bands here[edit]
If the book used as a source for pretty much every band here lists AFI, Bayside, Give Up the Ghost, Youth of Today, etc, as bands of the “new wave of American heavy metal,” maybe the book is simply not a credible source.
The aforementioned bands, and many others on this page, have no metal in their sound whatsoever, and should be removed. 2600:1004:A110:8219:6850:9B2C:BEDD:977F (talk) 13:49, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
