Untitled[edit]

Is this required? It seems to me to duplicate the categories system of auto racing tracks e.g. Category:Motor racing venues in the United Kingdom. Alexj2002 21:58, 3 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's nice to have a comprehensive page that lists mtoor racing circuits by country. A list of circuits that is restricted to a series of car is also a good thing to have, as in the List of Formula One Circuits, but it is not as helpful as this list would be if one is looking for all the tracks listed in a country. I am not sure that this list is completely comprehensive yet, but that can be worked on over time. This may be a personal preference, but I would rather look at a single list divided up by country rather than having to search for individual lists by country. This list also contains tracks without an article in wp. --84.61.151.106 19:44, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sandown Raceway[edit]

Can we please stop adding Sandown Raceway to street circuits, cause it really is not. --Falcadore (talk) 15:34, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Donington Park isn't in Derby! Reply: Actually, it is.[edit]

Under the United Kingdom, Donington Park is listed as being in Derby. The actual circuit is located in Leicestershire, even Wikipedia's Donington Park article says so! Someone needs to change it - I would but I need to learn how to put in links. Chevymontecarlo (talk) 18:03, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The county is Leicestershire, but this article lists cities. Derby is a city within Leicestershire. Within Derby is "Castle Donington" (as "Castle Donington" is also noted on the Donington Park page that you're referencing, but you seem to have ignored this fact & only saw "Leicestershire"). Here is the address (e.g. put this in maps.google.com) and note that Derby AND Castle Donington are in the address: Donington Park, Castle Donington, Derby DE74 2RP, United Kingdom‎. 216.82.194.76 (talk) 00:27, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia article traffic statistics spike likely[edit]

This article will likely spike in article views due to being linked today from http://what-if.xkcd.com/116/EncMstr (talk) 20:49, 16 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Northern Ireland Tracks[edit]

Why are tracks in Northern Ireland (Bishopscourt, Kirkistown, etc.) listed under both Ireland and the UK? Fifcrpr (talk) 11:23, 24 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Good question, and well spotted. Would it make sense to create Northern Ireland section? Wolfmartyn (talk) 13:54, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I would say they belong in the UK section, as there isn't seperate sections for England, Scotland and Wales. Fifcrpr (talk) 11:43, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Comprehensiveness?[edit]

I am currently researching motor racing circuits around the world and across history. And there are boatloads, actual metric -redacted- tons of racetracks that were used in national racing series. Street circuits, some of those only for one race. And for many of those there are no details online. You would have to find magazines from the time or stuff as sources. Anyways, should such racetracks be included in this list? If not, where do we draw the line? Just to give you people some sense of scale: One of the websites I use by Guido de Carli lists over 800 race tracks in Italy alone (according to my research of the entries on the website there are some double entries, so theres probably at least a few less, but still). Where do we draw the line here? Jutschl (talk) 01:01, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In the Belgium section, the word “Warneton” links to the wrong article.[edit]

In the Belgium section, the word ‘Warneton’ links to the French municipality instead of the Belgian town. Since it is in the Belgium section, I assume it is referring to the Belgian one. Bobbingbob (talk) 20:09, 25 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
