Length of list

At the recent Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of most-followed Instagram accounts, there was a clear consensus that a list of 50 items is not notable and not supported by sources as required by WP:GNG, but a shorter list would be. As Subuey (talk · contribs) pointed out in this edit, multiple sources exist to support a list of 25. Therefore, that is how long the list should be. If the list is to be lengthened, we need multiple source coverage to support it, not just a single source. ~Anachronist (talk) 21:15, 14 January 2018 (UTC)

The @Instagram account: unfair advantage?

How come Instagram's own account has over 309 million followers? I have a few IG accounts, but I never saw a prompt to follow IG. Have others seen a prompt?

I suggest that the lead be changed to:

As of August 2019, the most followed male is Cristiano Ronald, with over 178 million followers, while the most followed female is Ariana Grande, with over 161 million followers. Thanks @Emir of Wikipedia: , I knew this page, and noted that in other cases, such as for lists of political candidates and software, a list may be formatted as a table, and appropriate external links can be displayed compactly. We have hundreds of lists (outside of politics and software) where each row-item is linking to an external website (one random example here, where each item is pointing to its description on an external website).
