Hindu only crematorium in West Yorkshire yet?[edit]

I recall reading in a national newspaper (Times or Daily Telegraph) back in late 1990s or 'noughties' that the Hindu community was seeking council permission to build a crematorium solely for Hindus in the Bradford area. Did anything come of it?Cloptonson (talk) 17:49, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Wallingford Crematorium[edit]

There is no such place as 'Wallingford Crematorium'. Perhaps the author is referring to the South Oxfordshire Crematorium and Memorial Park (^[1] ) run by Memororia at Garford which is one of the three crematoria for humans in Oxfordshire in addition to the other two already mentioned in the article (Oxford and Banbury). This is still not correct. Garfield is nowhere near Wallingford. Please see Memoria's website to see the address. This crematorium is between Wantage and Abingdon on the A338. Amber Valley Crematorium[edit]

'Headington' Crematorium[edit]

I would suggest the title is incorrect. It is located in the Headington area of Oxford. Since I have lived around here, it has always been called 'Oxford Crematorium'. So frequently crematoria are often named by their localities, followed by the name of the nearest town. Oxford Crematorium may be its formal name but it has been alternatively referred to as Headington Crematorium, for example in a biography of Joy Davidman (Mrs CS Lewis) who was cremated and has a memorial there. My suggestion is give the formal name, followed by the locality details, which I have done for this one.Cloptonson (talk)
