Notability issue[edit]

I'm sorry I can't provide a lead section or references on this topic, but I'm very surprised to see notability of the subject noted as "in question." I am a well-known author on classical music with four books published and hundreds of articles. No, Giovanni Sgambati is not listed among the greatest composers, but he is far from "not notable," being a major influence on Italian composers after him, with dozens of recordings of his works available on many labels, as can be sampled at the commercial site http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical/Name/Giovanni-Sgambati/Composer/11073-1 Perhaps someone who never heard of him is claiming he doesn't deserve a Wikipedia page, but I can assure you that Sgambati is more important than hundreds of musicians or composers who do have pages here (and I do not begrudge them). Yes, this is just a list however, this composer is excellent and has a valid place in Wikipedia. All this page needs is a biography of sorts. Lmlmss44 (talk) 01:42, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
