There has been a suggestion that List of resident birds of Sri Lanka be merged into this list with some kind of symbol or icon to indicate resident birds. Anybody have a problem with this? Any volunteers? --  :- ) Don 01:17, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Obviously makes sense since the resident list is just an edited version of the full list. List of birds of Thailand is an example of a list which shows status of species. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 06:24, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
That is a nice looking list, but a lot of work. Also has section titles which this article need also. --  :- ) Don 15:08, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Might as well steal their format(it looks nice), why do more work than necessay. Do we need to get User:Charlirox on board? We will need a sandbox, or should we just thrash through this article? --  :- ) Don 15:15, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, he's an active editor, so might be just as well. All we need to do is add "resident" or something similar after the appropriate species. (Winter visitor/summer visitor/accidental and the like could be added later, but that's not relevant to the merge. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:42, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Light bulb iconBThe templates for all the bird already exist, just fill in the blanks. Piece of cake. Check it out. --  :- ) Don 16:11, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I lied. Some species have templates already. I have done 3, but have much real work to do today. Placed construction template. I hope Charlirox does not freak. --  :- ) Don 16:38, 31 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
