Is this really necessary?[edit]

A list of episodes for one year, of one TV show, that's been on for 60 years? And it's mostly blank.

If it really is thought necessary to do this, instead of going year by year, wouldn't it make sense to reduce this to just a few articles with, say, one covering all the episodes in Jack Parr's tenure, one covering those of Johnny Carson, one covering Jay Leno, etc.?
