Recurring cast table is way too large[edit]

The 'Recurring' cast table at this article is pretty much a joke – it is way too large to reasonably navigate. It either needs to be split into several smaller tables (preferable!), or it needs needs to redisplay the column headers with every new "table section", or both.

But, right now, this table is way too big to be any use to readers. --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:03, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say we could abolish the thematic sections and instead just split it into a recurring and a guest cast table (similiar to List of characters in the Breaking Bad franchise). Some of the actors (e.g. Aaron Tveit or Jason Biggs) have only ever been guests, I agree that it's definitely difficult to read this way. Sorting them after recurring / guest would make it easier. Update: The 'Recurring' table now runs over the "side of the page" on my laptop. IOW, the 'Recurring' table is a hot mess! Something needs to be done here... --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:24, 15 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@IronMaximus: Thanks for this edit. But I would say that the 'Recurring cast' table is still too large – both "too wide" and "too tall" – to be comfortably navigated. I don't have an obvious solution to that. however. But it warrants being said... Also, a LoC article that is made up of just tables, with no character summaries in prose is... unusual, to say the least. To the point where maybe a standalone article isn't justified without including (sourced) prose character summaries. FWIW. --IJBall (contribstalk) 13:52, 20 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I checked some of the actors and it seems like 2 episodes are already counted as recurring, so we could increase that count to 3 or 4 episodes, that should make the recurring table smaller. And for your second point: maybe we could rename the article from "characters" to "cast members". Prose isn't needed for just a cast list I'd say, so the cast tables would be sufficient for that.
