Someone removed the simple episode descriptions[edit]

On June 12, 2013, someone removed all of the simple descriptions of the episodes. Why was this done? It was nice to view a quick description of each episode rather than have to go into each episode to remember what happened in it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.82.56.108 (talk) 23:43, 18 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The descriptions were not deleted, they were moved. Look in the individual season articles ("Star Trek: The Original Series (season 1)", etc.) to find what you're looking for. — Cbbkr (talk) 00:09, 19 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Pilots (1964–65)[edit]

In the pilots section for the "Where No Man Has Gone Before" episode under "Original air date" it states the episode was never aired. On the page for that episode it states "The episode was eventually broadcast third in sequence on September 22, 1966...". At least one of these pages is incorrect. Google turns up http://www.tvtango.com/listings/1966/09/22 which shows the episode airing from 8:30 to 9:30 PM on September 22 1966. I have NO idea how accurate tvtango is. For anybody wondering and reading this now (as I did), the original pilot version of the episode never aired. The episode was edited and eventually aired as the third episode of the show (and it's listed in the first season episode list that way). This is why the pilot version has no air date. I have edited the pilot episode list to note that this is the "pilot version" of "Where No Man has Gone Before" referenced there, which never aired. The text of the article explains this, though that text may not have been there when the user above wrote their comment in 2017. When I was just scanning the episode tables, I wondered the same thing as the above user, as I wasn't reading the text blocks first. TheHYPO (talk) 17:03, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
