"Kristine Pace" debate[edit]

The following is copied from the talk pages of myself and Magioladitis:

I had to revert your edit to List of Prison Break minor characters about Kellerman's sister surname for two reasons: a) IMDB is not a trustful database and b) I didn't find any entry about Kristine in there. -- Magioladitis 23:55, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That is certainly a fair point you raise about the Imdb, so I would think better of citing it. However, the page you linked was merely the "series cast and crew," which only lists actors that are credited as being in 2 or more episodes. You'll also notice no listing for "Kristine Kellerman" on that page either. TV.com also lists Tina Holmes as playing "Kristine Pace". Granted, it also has some user-created content, but in my experience, the credits tend to be more accurate than the Imdb with regard to recently aired episodes. Would this be justifiable as a secondary source? Thanks for the input. -Juansmith 06:01, 5 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are right although I checked and I think TV.com is also a non-reliable source. I checked the official Prison Break board and her surname is certainly Pace. I believe you've done an excellent work with this! -- Magioladitis 00:18, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. The character was originally listed as "Kristine Pace" but later in the episode, "Fin Del Camino", in the scene where Paul Kellerman is about to commit suicide, he writes her name down as "Kristine Kellerman". I think we should follow the name mentioned in the episode itself. What Prison Break board are you referring to? Do you mean the forum? By the way, there was a similar change of name for "Jane Phillips", who was actually credited as "Jane Barrow" in an earlier episode. Regards, Ladida 10:20, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. First of all i want to comment that I haven't watched the two last episodes yet. It seems the thing with Kellerman's sister last name to be more complicated than I believed. Well, the steps i did were the following:
  • I checked the boards of the official page and everybody calls her "Pace".
  • I checked the 2 official press releases at the Futon Critic from both episodes she appears and the name was again "Pace". Especially, check here for the official press release of her last appearance.
If i may guess something is that Kristine Kellerman was married and changed her last name to Pace. In fact I have no problem to be stated either as Pace or Kellerman. I think if in the series she was never mentioned as "Pace" and you say that she was mentioned once as "Kellerman" is better to have her with the latter name. I ll not attempt any other edit to the name until the thing is completely cleared. (Wow! I wrote many things finally!) -- Magioladitis 11:16, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The press releases are kind of dodgy with names like spelling Sara as "Sarah". I noticed that "Pace" was used in the press releases and in TV Guide which gets its info from press releases. That was the reason I added the character with that name prior to the episode "Fin Del Camino". Her last name was never spoken out loud but Paul Kellerman later wrote it down so ... I don't know ... Thanks for your reply, by the way. :) Ladida 14:58, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ladida - I just checked my recording of "Fin del Camino", and you're correct. He writes her name down on the envelope as Kristine Kellerman. Good call. Her name may very well be Kristine Pace (which would mean that for some reason he referred to her by her maiden name), but I'd say we have no official basis by which to confirm that. -Juansmith 17:08, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

(end of copied discussion)

It makes sense if you look at it this way. Her name is Kristine Pace becuase she's married. Paul hasn't seen her in fifteen years, so he would never have known that she was married, much less know her new last name. So, when he wrote that note, he had to go by the name he knew her as fifteen years prior: Kristine Kellerman. Still, the note is more reliable than the credits, so I stay stick with Kellerman. --4.247.131.92 18:41, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
She's married? -- Ladida 01:02, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think I recall allusions to that effect, but I don't think we never saw her husband. -Juansmith 08:05, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, my husband explanation is pure speculation, which is why I say stick with Kellerman. --4.247.128.60 16:29, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pam Mahone[edit]

Shouldn't Pam Mahone, the wife of Alex Mahone, be mentioned in the article? I haven't seen the entire series yet, therefore can't write a conclusive summary, but someone should, unless there's a good reason not to. -- Ynhockey (Talk) 21:53, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Merging some articles[edit]

I think Hector Avila, Samantha Brinker and Pad Man, Aldo Burrows all should be merged into here. The characters didn't have a big participation, articles contain only in-universe unreferenced data. - Magioladitis (talk) 20:59, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Various editors helped and all four articles are merged now. -- Magioladitis (talk) 21:10, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am adding Luis "McGrady" Gallego in the list. This article has not references, consists only of plot, character won't reappear in the show and has no notability to has its own article. -- Magioladitis (talk) 07:44, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should add Sammy to the list. McGrady, Pad Man, Roland & Wyatt are more important then him and dont have their own article.Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 00:25, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Pad Man get his own article?[edit]

He's appeared in every episode of Season 4 so far and ahs played a fairly prominent role. I think he deserves his own article.Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 21:03, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fully agree. His number of appearances is greater than some other characters who do have articles. I tried to give him an article recently, only to have it re-merged on the basis of "notability", despite the fact that a number of less notable characters have their own article. --T smitts (talk) 07:07, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thirded. He's clearly one of, if not the, main antagonist, and for him not to have an article when, for example, Maricruz Delgado does is stupid. 86.153.222.77 (talk) 05:37, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Maricruz is going to be merged, since it isn't notable to stay. You could create the page on the General, but with no real world content, it'll just get merged again, -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 16:00, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I dont think we should merge it anymore since all of the other minor/recurring characters are getting merged.Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 04:07, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do Not Merge With Gretchen Morgan & Donald Self[edit]

Gretchen is an important character, even if she hasnt been around for a long time. And since Self is a starring cast member, he'll play a big role throughout the fourth season. A merge with Norman "Lechero" St. John has also been proposed, and I am leaning towards it not being merged. But if any of these characters are merged, Sofia Lugo should be also.Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 23:42, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think that merging depends on the notability of the character, as a piece of art independent from its series.Right now we have far to many character articles for Prison Break. We can create a good list of characters article instead. According to WP:WAF, Very rarely should such spinout articles be about a singular topic (e.g., character, plot item); either that topic has demonstrated its own notability, or should be merged into the main article or existing spinout articles. -- Magioladitis (talk) 06:45, 13 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmm...I still think Gretchen deserves an article if maybe we add a characteristics section, but Norman "Lechero" St. John, Donald Self & Sofia Lugo shud be merged. Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 17:35, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page's format[edit]

You know, to be honest, I think this page is poorly formatted and is fairly confusing, we should think of ways to resturcture it. I have one idea; maybe we can change the sections. Instead of "characters introduced in season 1, 2, 3, 4", we could have a "Company members", "Fox River prisoners", "Fox River officers" etc etc. I am open to suggestions. Any other thoughts? -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 17:03, 23 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I like that idea, but maybe he could forget the "introduced in season" and just have "Fox River Prisoners", "Fox River Staff", "Sona Prisoners", "Company agents", "Friends and family of main characters" etcEveryoneandeveryone (talk) 19:11, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think the "characters introduced in season 1, 2, 3, 4" is more off-universe but I am not sure what is better. -- Magioladitis (talk) 01:23, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Keep Character Appearances?[edit]

Why are they gone? I found them useful :( Im not gonna put them in just to get them deleted again though Everyoneandeveryone (talk) 19:52, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I removed them, because I feel that they take up room, and I didn't find them necessary either, which is why I deleted them. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 22:50, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the removal in fact. I found them confusing + it looks a bit like original research. Does someone have to watch all the episodes to confirm them? -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:29, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hector[edit]

I think Hector's description can be shortened and put in the "Other character's". The characters has a minor role in the series. -- Magioladitis (talk) 02:17, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. All that happened is that he tried to steal Maricruz from Sucre and tried to marry her when she said no. We could trim it to what I just said, but maybe a little more descriptive, and certainly present tense it. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 16:57, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You seem to better than me in writing summaries! Can you do it please? -- Magioladitis (talk) 17:27, 8 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. Give me a few minutes. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 00:38, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Done. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 00:43, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Great job! I'll keep bringing articles from minor characters, starting with the ones with less appearances. -- Magioladitis (talk) 14:28, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Samantha Brinker[edit]

I felt perhaps I should comment here before making futher changes. Brinker was only in a total of 7 episodes and had relatively little screen time. Is it alright if I shorten her section slighly and put her under minor characters? Darthdyas (talk) 23:22, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Do you mean more than you already did? I am ok with her being in the minor characters. -- Magioladitis (talk) 23:46, 14 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, I already did what I had in mind. Hope it was okay that I didn't wait for an answer? Anyway, glad you approved of the change Darthdyas (talk) 00:07, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Problem linking Character articles[edit]

I'm having trouble providing links on other pages (where it's relevant) to the characters on this page under "other characters". Each section has a title called "other characters", so how does one link to one specific section out of these 5? Darthdyas (talk) 00:56, 8 January 2009 (UTC) I would just link to the general section for rxample "Fox River 8". If it was html I could solve it by adding a <a name=other1> tag. -- Magioladitis (talk)[reply]

David Baker[edit]

Should David Baker, apprearing as the person who designed the room where Scylla is being kept, be included in the list? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.34.122.169 (talk) 21:20, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He only appeared in one episode, so I'm afraid not. One off characters shouldn't really have a place here. -- Matthew R Dunn (talk) 21:26, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

In-universe notice[edit]

I see that the complaint about in-universe perspective is almost a year old now. If it's cool with you guys, I'll try to rewrite some of the bios and try to to make it sound more out-of universe. Then you can decide if it's good enough to remove the notice. What do you think, should I give it a try? -- Darthdyas (talk) 16:26, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:Padman which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 19:19, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any reason to have separate articles for main and non-main characters in the same series? The Optimistic One (talk) 22:36, 4 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
