In this article you use all the current names for stadiums (eg Jade Stadium not Lancaster Park as it was in 1996). Any particular reason? Not saying I think they should definitely be changed but just wondering if there was any reason. Mattlore 07:42, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Its just the way i've always gone about stadium names. My reason in this article is to have uniform stadium names, and also to make the stadium name quickly recognisable. It doesn't make sense to have it as Ericsson Stadium up until mid-2006 and suddenly change it to Mt Smart.--IanRitchie 09:22, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've always thought it's best to use the name at the time, ensuring of course that the link is right. It would be difficult to find a source listing the Brisbane Broncos' first match being at Suncorp Stadium.--Jeff79 (talk) 22:47, 19 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
