Opening dates and discontinued lines[edit]

I appreciate the work Acps110 has done. But for completeness, I believe we should expand this list further. Specifically, I would like to include all the dates of opening, through the use of notes. I have borrowed The Subway: A Trip Through Time on New York's Rapid Transit by Stan Fischler from the library, and it appears to be mostly complete as well as reliable.

On a related note, I also think we should include heavy-rail lines that have closed since the Board of Transportation takeover, and perhaps also in the IRT/BMT eras. Just throwing some suggestions out there. Tinlinkin (talk) 03:20, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Usage[edit]

I added this column with the expectation that I can find sources for the ridership of specific lines (or services for that matter). If anybody knows of a valid source, I'd appreciate it. If not, the column should be deleted. Tinlinkin (talk) 03:20, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bronx Terminal[edit]

This appears under "Vestiges" as a part of the White Plains Road Line "Also on the White Plains Road line is the remnant of the short section of track to the original Bronx Park terminal." What is it referring to? Jd2718 (talk) 19:38, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
