Initial split[edit]

OK, I know I just kinda cut off a lot of things from the main article and shoved them in here. Feel absolutely free to bring parts back to the main article if they are more relevant there. We just had to get those massive lists out. - Phorque (talk · contribs) 14:48, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Translated?[edit]

If there is no official translation of this, then why is it in the English wiki? I don't know about anyone else, but this doesn't seem notable to me, since it does not actually exist in English.

For the same reason that a number of other well known, yet untranslated Anime are listed. Notability does NOT rely on translation. Witness Mobile Suit Gundam. Although Wikipedia did not exist at the time that the series finally made it to the US, no one who was knowlegable regarding Anime would dispute it's notability.

To expand on my previous point, let me continue using Gundam as a hypothetical example. Mobile Suit Gundam, were it not to have been imported and released in the US, would not be notable per the criteria of the anonymous poster, in spite of the fact that it's influence on it's particular genre of anime (Military/Real Robot anime,) a genre which has had MANY examples released in English, and a genre which it, arguably, created, is irrefutable. Judging notability based strictly on whether a work has been released in English is superficial, and, in all honesty, a mistake

Duplicate list[edit]

The episode list at "Anime series and OVAs" section seems unnecessary, seeing as we have a much better list at List of Legend of the Galactic Heroes episodes. I think it can be safely removed. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:07, 29 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
