On that topic, someone has just bulk changed a number of name spellings. I have a much more updated list of variations to my original linked above here. Bear in mind that I don't know what names were used for the Danmachi on-disc subtitles from Sentai and I haven't seen all of Oratoria (it wasn't available in my region until HiDive launched, and I'm still waiting for apps), although I have recently added the names presented in romaji in later volumes of the Japanese light novels. Personally I think the spellings used in the official translation of the original source material should be used. Meaning use the Yen Press spellings. That said, I've noticed in a variety of LNs, especially longer series, the translations can change over time and in those cases using a romonji of the original Japanese may be best when it happens with names. When it happens with other words or phrases unless one translation is used significantly more than another, it may be best to note both translations to avoid confusion and/or personal preference for one over another. 64.98.246.9 (talk) 13:59, 22 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
