Orphaned references in List of Autopsy: The Last Hours of... episodes[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of Autopsy: The Last Hours of... episodes's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

This article is not a list of episodes[edit]

This article is not a list of episodes. It's a list of topics. It's not organized by season/series; there's no information about when the episode aired, etc. It's just a list of people and some info about how they died. Irrelevant content[edit]

This should be a list article giving details about episodes of a TV series. While it would be appropriate to give a brief, maybe one or two sentence synopsis for each episode, we definitely shouldn't be copying detailed content from other articles. I haven't watched the show, but I'm guessing half the content on here probably isn't even mentioned in those episodes, making it a complete departure from the intended content of this article. The only sources cited should be sources that are discussing the show and providing details like air dates. @BornonJune8: I'd like to give you a chance to provide any argument for keeping the content before I remove it, and also ask if you would like to write the brief episode descriptions yourself. -- Fyrael (talk) 15:08, 13 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Fyrael: The show Autopsy: The Last Hours of..., is naturally, about how celebrities died. I don't know what else there is the say that would be contradictory to what has been written about their deaths in their official Wiki articles that isn't widely accepted as fact. So what exactly is "irrelevant" when it pertains to their deaths? Do you want a summary of what Dr. Michael Hunter said in his investigation and his conclusion towards how and why the celebrity died regardless of what is says on their own Wiki articles? It's much simpler and too the point in my perspective, to rely on the subject's Wiki articles. The discussion isn't what's relevant to these people's deaths because this article isn't about those deaths. This is a list article about TV episodes. For reference, here are other articles that list episodes for somewhat similar shows: List of The FBI Files episodes, Cold Case Files, Catching Killers, List of Unsolved Mysteries episodes. @Fyrael: Again, I most reiterate that the whole and entire purpose and point of the show Autopsy: The Last Hours of... is through reenactments, archival news footage, and interviews with friends and family members, document and chronical the life and more importantly/significantly, the final months, days, and hours of a celebrity's life. These people's deaths are relevant because otherwise, what else would the show be about? The show after-all, is literally called Autopsy: The Last Hours of... The exact manner for which they in all likelihood died and their lifestyle choices or circumstances and what not just goes hand in hand with the show's intent. In other words, the show is extremely specific when it comes to examining a celebrity's health and how it may have directly lead or contributed to their eventual death. In other words, the TV episodes as a whole, are about these deaths because that's the entire point of the show to begin with. It traces With all due respect, you by your own admission, have never actually seen and watched the show. Autopsy isn't exactly a crime show like some of the other shows that you mentioned (although murders have been featured). It does deal with forensic science of course, but again, the whole and ultimate point and purpose of Autopsy is to explain to viewers how a celebrity died. Does the list of episodes even need to include information about the episode's content? If it just summarizes information about celebrities' deaths, the information can probably just be covered at the main article for each celebrity instead of duplicating elements here. If summaries do remain, they should focus on only the material presented in the episode without providing external context, based on my reading of this line from WP:TVPLOT: Plot sections should summarize the core storyline(s), but not offer a scene-by-scene sequence of everything that happens, or attempt to evaluate, interpret or analyze it. I've now cut the list down to just the details present that are relevant to the show. I kept the notes about episodes being revisited and for the most part kept the dates listed even though many of them don't make sense because they put a later episode airing before an earlier one, or even placing it in the prior season.
