Deletion[edit]

Did she have an article in Wikipedia? People might be writing the article after the shocking news of her death, but if she didn't have a Wikipedia article it seems to me that she lacked her notability then (at least on the English Wikipedia) and its just being notable for being newsworthy right now. That said, I feel that if she didn't have a Wikipedia article before then it should stay like that. Thanks --Camilo Sanchez (talk) 00:31, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I don´t know if she did, but she was very important in Colombia200.106.200.149 (talk) 01:46, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Being a news/TV presenter on national programs qualifies as notable, I think. ClockworkLunch (talk) 04:09, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well, she is notable in Colombia and the Spanish Wikipedia, not the English one. Had she been notable there would have been a biographical article about her. She is notable now because of the way she died not much because of what she did. And please..do not remove the speedy deletion tag. If it keeps getting deleted it will be seen as vandalism. --Camilo Sanchez (talk) 04:21, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm afraid you don't understand Wikipedia's deletion policies. If it's notable in the Spanish Wikipedia, it's notable in the English Wikipedia - an English-language source for the article would be helpful, but not a requirement. Rebecca (talk) 05:14, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if you don't want the article deleted then try improving it because as it is its really mediocre. This is the problem with people writing articles here, they don't want an article deleted but don't want to improve it either. Besides, this article is one of those articles that are produced out of mererecentism. --Camilo Sanchez (talk) 18:34, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The news article claims she is 31, yet all accounts of her age say 29 on here, which is more accurate? - Guest —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.116.62.178 (talk) 18:55, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
