Loy reference removed[edit]

Errors in this article, including inappropriate use of mathematical terms as basic as applying Cartesian coordinate terms for polar coordinate graphs seem to be traced to the Loy reference. The reference is recreational math by a serious mathematician who wasn't interested in proving his points, as it lacks citations and proofs. Consequently, it should not be used as a reliable source of mathematical knowledge. I admit scholars cite this web page, but it is only on the scholar's own authority. 2601:140:8980:4B20:38CA:5927:22D9:3EE9 (talk) 04:32, 27 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The 1911 edition of The Encyclopedia Britannica mentions the inner loop trisectrix property. This allow removal of the Loy reference completely. 2601:140:8980:4B20:D814:E3BD:CD81:7383 (talk) 03:30, 26 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
