Family relationships[edit]

In the article it states that Lily Aldridge is the daughter of Miles Aldridge, the fashion photographer. Miles's father was Alan Aldridge (the designer) and Miles has a sister called Saffron. I am sure that Miles Aldridge married american model Kristen McMenamy in 1997 and I am not aware of the fact that Miles was married before. Saffron Aldridge was a model (who looked a lot like Saffron Burrows).

I have been reliably informed that Saffron Burrows her mother is called Susie Burrows. As Saffron Burrows father is reputedly an architect and teacher, this would mean that Miles Aldridge is no relation and Miles just happens to have a sister that is called Saffron or that Saffron her father was either not an architect or he was an architect before he became a designer.

If Miles Aldrich and Lily are related then Lily would probably be his sister, although there is big age gap: Miles was born in 1964, Saffron was born in 1973 and Lily was born in 1985. Ruby was born in 1991. This would make Ruby another sister. This is complicated by the fact that FMD suggests that Saffron is the oldest of the children.

My guess is that Miles and Saffron are brother and sister or not related. The article now (2011) suggests that Miles and Saffron were children from one marriage (probably to Susie Burrows) and that Lily and Ruby are from a later marriage (probably to Laura Lyons). Lily and Ruby are probably sisters (maybe also to either of them, although Saffron would be the likely candidate). Lily has a strong facial resemblance to Saffron. There are blogs that suggest that the four are siblings (which I do not think is unlikely). In summary: Miles Aldridge is the eldest son of Alan Aldridge followed by a sister Saffron (probably Saffron Burrows), then Lily, then Ruby. This makes Miles Lily's (half) brother and not her father.

The whole situation is complicated by the fact that Kristen McMenamy (whose birth year varies from 1964 to 1966) has a daughter named Lily from her first marriage to Hubert Boukobsa. That Lily is supposed to have been born in 1994 and is also a model.

Can anybody shed any light on this? Whatever the result may be, it means that there are errors in Wikipedia. --JHvW (talk) 00:28, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The source of your confusion seems to be that you think Saffron Burrows and Saffron Aldridge are the same person. This is incorrect. Saffron Aldridge and Saffron Burrows are two completely different people, and they have zero relation beyond both having brown hair and the same name. Saffron Aldridge was born in the 1960s. Saffron Burrows was born in the 1970s. As you noted, Saffron Burrows's mother is named Susie. Saffron Aldridge's mother was named Rita and died of ovarian cancer in the early 90s. Also, Saffron Aldridge has two sons. Saffron Burrows has zero children. Here's an article from The Telegraph that gives more of a biography of Saffron Aldridge. The two women are not the same person. Thank you for pointing this out. The article in the Telegraph was very helpful. My confusion stems in part from blogs which I have visited which suggest that Saffron Aldridge and Saffron Burrows are the same person. But in the time I was a contributor to this project I could find nothing to substantiate this. I was quite sure that Miles Aldridge was not Lily's father as some sources suggest. For some reason it is very difficult to find anything out about these people. Alan Aldridge is a well known artist (the reason why I was interested). He has a well known son and three of his daughters are models (I have been informed that he has six more children). At the time I wrote this, the article on Alan Aldridge contained very little information, there was no article on Miles and Saffron Aldridge, and the articles on Lily and Ruby were little more than statements that they were good looking (no surprise there as they were models). Sara Sampaio[edit]

I am adding to this talk page because there is no activity on Sara's page. I would like help adding to her page. If you read below:

Proposed changes: The purpose of this project is to add credibility to Sara Sampaio’s page by editing her current career section and personal life. Her career could include: how she started in the business, how she has progressed, what she has done, and what she plans to do in the future. Her personal life should include: Where and how did she grow up, what she enjoys doing, her views on things she is passionate about (body image and nudity),her personal relationships to her coworkers (other VS models), and maybe adding a picture as well.

The presentation of the information will be in sections of her career and personal life. While there is little to no existing content, the purpose of this page will be to start adding to the page. She is already a well renowned supermodel, but once she walks the runway in December, her page will be especially important. My plan for this wiki page is too provide interesting information on Sara Sampaio. As an upcoming star, I would think there is more information on her, but unfortunately there is not. This is the information I have edited so far and the sources I have used to do so:

Sara was discovered at the age of 15, but because she was still too young, she was asked to come back when she was older. Sara started modeling when she won a hair modeling contest in Portugal at the age of 16 called Cabelos Pantene. She had the chance to be in a commercial in Portugal. She got signed to an agency, but because of her strict parents, she had to finish high school, and went to the University in Lisbon. She was doing part time because she was not allowed to be homeschooled. While in Lisbon, she did editorial part time until she had the opportunity to go international. Sara’s dream was to work for Victoria’s Secret. Her agency sent in headshots, and she was asked to audition, but did not make it on the show. She worked very hard to be chosen for Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. After her third year audition, she made her debut in 2013 walking one segment of the VS Fashion Show and two segments in 2014.She was recently chosen as one of the newest angels for the 2015 runway, and this December will be the first year she walks the runway as an angel.


Sara Sampaio grew up in the outskirts of Porto, Portugal, then moved to New York to start her career. She stated in an interview that she intends to keep her personal life very private[15]. In her free time she loves to surf and kick box. She is a brown belt in karate and is currently learning to play the guitar.
