Hungarian background[edit]
This given name has a different background in Hungary. It was a nickname for Lívia and Lídia, and gained popularity through a poet (see the Hungarian article). The similarity with the nickname of Elisabeth is a coincidence. As the article lists some Hungarian women among the examples, the Hungarian background should be mentioned too.
