Like a Dragon GaidenLike a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name – Seems far more common to me: I only ever see the full name ―Justin (koavf)TCM 19:52, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose: It seems overly cumbersome to type, and many of the cited sources use the shortened title in their headlines. — BarrelProof (talk) 03:39, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - Title is too long to type. Hansen SebastianTalk 17:05, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    The current title would redirect. I don't see how this is a problem. Have you read WP:COMMONNAME? ―Justin (koavf)TCM 17:12, 9 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I did, and the shorter title seems to be the more common name than the longer one per WP:TITLE. So there's your problem: Who would want to type a game's title in its fullest form when we could just settle for the shortened one? Hansen SebastianTalk 03:08, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    I am seeing the full title much more commonly. ―Justin (koavf)TCM 04:10, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Per WP:COMMONNAME and the examples given at WP:SUBTITLE. This particular example is like why The Gene: An Intimate History is not just called "The Gene". The subtitle is an integral part of the title. People should not confuse unnecessary subtitles that are not common names with ones that are. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 06:03, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: The inclusion of the subtitle is important, because it is a notable part of the game's name, as indicated by the boxart. Removing it would be like removing "The Song of Life" from Yakuza 6's article name. The boss 1904 (talk) 09:14, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: In addition to the above arguments in support: (a) it would be consistent with the naming of the rest of the series on Wikipedia, the games of which are prominently linked throughout the article and (b) given that the full Japanese title is already listed as a note. Yannis | 11:38, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: It's ridiculous to shorten the name, the official title is what we should always go with professionally. --Quoxs (talk) 05:15, 13 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support: Even if it's easier to say now, there's a possibility of more Gaiden titles in the future. The Japanese title is specifically Like a Dragon 7 Gaiden, what if Like a Dragon 8 or 9 get one as well? MaksimFisher (talk, contribs) 20:07, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
