R v Dudley & Stephens as inspiration?[edit]

Since the Python member John Cleese went up to Cambridge for the Law Tripos, and undoubtedly read this case in criminal law, I would say it is reasonable to assume it was at least partial inspiration for the sketch.

I realise, though, that this is not enough evidence upon which to base a claim within the article but perhaps a note on Cleese's legal background could be included as that is a self-evident fact, and leave the reader to draw their own inference from it?
